Radiologist
Dr Husam Wassati is a Consultant Head & Neck and Neuroradiologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Wassati completed his general and subspecialist head & neck and neuroradiology training at the University Hospitals of Leicester and Queen Medical Centre at Nottingham following a period of training in neurosurgery at specialist hospitals in London. He performs all multimodality imaging and image-guided interventions of the whole head and neck region including the thyroid, parathyroid, major salivary glands, lymph nodes and benign/malignant conditions. Dr Wassati introduced, with a colleague (Dr Timothy Yusuf), the UK first microwave ablation for benign thyroid nodules at the Princess Royal University Hospital NHS trust (part of King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust). Dr Wassati also performs general ultrasound examinations of the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, testes and deep veins of the arms and legs and performs them on a regular basis in his clinical practice.
